Financial Benefits of Commonwealth Professional Fellowships:
Undermentioned is the list of financial benefits and covered value for recipients of the Commonwealth Professional Fellowships in the UK for the year 2026:
- Will provide approved Round Airfare from the candidate’s home country to the United Kingdom.
- Stipend (living allowance) payable monthly (or pro rata) for the duration of the award at the rate of £2,104 per month, or £2,612 per month for those at organisations in the London metropolitan area.
- If a Fellow declares a disability, a full assessment of needs and eligibility for additional financial support will be offered by the CSC.
- Up to £1,830.20 arrival allowance at current rates will be provided, including funds for warm clothing.
- Reimbursement of the standard visa application fee.
- Flat rate contribution of £2,000 to the costs of the Host organisation relating to the administration and support of the Fellow, setting up of appropriate meetings, and any materials required. During the award, incidental travel of the Fellow, the individual has to pay the Host organisation on receipt of an invoice.
- Fees can be agreed for costs associated with Fellows attending short courses/conferences, as well as travel to visit other UK organisations where this forms an integral part of the Programme.
- Up to £2,000 can be agreed for awards under two months and up to a maximum of £3,000 for awards of three months (to be paid to the Host organisation on receipt of an invoice).

Eligibility Criteria For Commonwealth Professional Fellowships:
The undermentioned eligibility requirements must be fulfilled by the applicant to be eligible for the fellowship:
- The applicant must be granted refugee status, or in British Protection or must belong to a Commonwealth country.
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of the country from which he is applying for the fellowship.
- Applicant must have five years of experience in full-time work or equivalent if the experience is part-time.
- The experience of the applicant in a profession must be related to the subject given above for the fellowship.
- Voluntary work experience will not be accepted.
- Be employed at the time of application that they will return to upon completion of the fellowship;
- A candidate should not select this fellowship in the previous five years during the application process.
- Candidate not studying any coursework or Research work in the UK. Academics are eligible to apply for the scheme, but only to undertake programmes of academic management, not research or courses relevant to their research subject.
- Applicants must be available between 1 February 2026 & 15 March 2026 for this Fellowship.

Applicants must follow the below-mentioned steps during the online application process for Commonwealth Professional Fellowships 2025/26:
- Your application must include at least two references, one of which must be from your current employer, otherwise, it will be considered ineligible.
- After the closing date for applications and references, your application will be given to the Host organisation for which you have applied for the fellowship.
- After that, the organisation will review your application and give a list of selected students to the Commission.
- Then the Commission will select final candidates for the fellowship.
