Award Benefits of Fellowship:
Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2026-27 is a fully Free Fellowship Program for International Students. The Doctoral Fellowship will cover the following:
- A HK$340,800 (about US$43,690) yearly stipend
- A HK$14,200 (approximately US$1,820) conference and research-related travel allowance

Apply Procedure For the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme:
Before applying for PhD admission to their preferred universities, qualified applicants must first submit an Initial Application online via the Hong Kong PhD. Fellowship Scheme Electronic System (HKPFSES) to acquire an HKPFS Reference Number by December 1, 2025, at 12:00:00 Hong Kong Time.
STEP 1: Apply first to the research grant council:
Applications will be accepted after September 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon Hong Kong time.
