International Students are invited to apply for Shanghai Government Scholarships in China (SGS) for the 2026-27 session. Students from all over the world can apply for Fully Funded Shanghai Government Scholarships to pursue Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD Degrees. No Admission Fee will be required to apply for these Chinese scholarships. If your last language of study in previous history is English, IELTS is not required for these scholarships. For students who have not obtained their previous education in English, a language test is required. There are two types of Shanghai Government scholarships offered. Type A (Complete Fully Funded Scholarship) & Type B (Partial Scholarship)Â
Type of A (Full Scholarship)

Eligibility Requirements:
Students have to meet the eligibility criteria given below eligibility criteria to apply for Shanghai Government Scholarships 2026-27 for International Students:
- Applicants must be people who are not Chinese citizens and have good health.Â
- Applicants must have a high school diploma for the pre-college curriculum and be under 23 years old.Â
- Applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years old for the bachelor’s degree program.Â
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old for the master’s degree program.Â
- Applicants for a PhD program must hold a master’s degree and must be under 40 years old.

Shanghai Government Scholarship Application Process:
To apply for the Shanghai Government Fully Funded Scholarships, please follow the step-by-step instructions:Â
- Applicants can register via the Shanghai Government Scholarships 2026-27 official website http://study.edu.sh.gov.cn/apply/ and submit the online application form. Please make an online request and download the application form.Â
- Applicants can register and apply online with the university website chosen (A list of universities is given above). Send an online application (if applicable).Â
- After uploading your online application, download the application form and print it out. Mail two sets of rough copies of application papers to the university where you have submitted them (1 set of originals and 1 set of photocopies).
- Wait for the Shanghai Government Scholarships results.
