Since 1997, the Swedish Defence University has existed in its present form. On January 1, 2008, the university was founded as a national university college, enabling it to grant academic degrees. On 1 February 2015, the university acquired its new name, formerly known in English as the Swedish Colleges. The Swedish Defence University was given approval to award two-year master’s degrees in 2018. The entire graduation programme is taught in English. 

All academic disciplines and majors are available for study in the Masters Degree programme at the university. The Swedish Council for Higher Education is providing this scholarship. The length of the scholarship is 2 years. The grant only pays the cost of tuition. If your final preparation is in English, IELTS is not required for this scholarship.
