Keio University GIGA Scholarships Financial Coverage:
Up to JPY 1,000,000 per year will be given to the applicants. The scholarship will be used for the payment of academic fees required at the time of entering the university. The rest of the scholarship amount will be paid into the scholarship recipient’s bank account after enrollment.

The amount awarded is JPY 48,000 per month for the entire period of 1 year but students may apply every year for this scholarship program.
Scholarships Provided by Keio University:
- Keio University Scholarship for Undergraduate Students (in the second year or above)
The amount granted for this scholarship is JPY 250,000 or JPY 500,000 per year to exceptional students which will be paid in a lump sum for one year. Anyhow, students may apply every year for this grant.
- Keio University Degree Completion Scholarship
The amount offered for this scholarship is within the limits of the relevant year’s academic fee of up to JPY 300,000 which will be paid in a lump sum for 1 year.
- Yamaoka Kenichi Memorial Scholarship for 1st year undergraduate students
The amount awarded is up to JPY 900,000 for one year and will be paid in a lump sum for 1 year.
- Yamaoka Kenichi Memorial Scholarship (for students in the second year or above)
An amount of JPY 500,000 for one year will be paid in a lump sum for one year.
- Goldman Sachs Scholars Fund
JPY 500,000 will be provided for one year as a lump sum for 1 year.

Applicant must fulfil the undermentioned eligibility requirements to be successful for Keio University GIGA Scholarships in Japan:
- passed the Winter AO 2020 (Global) screening
- an incoming first-year student
- a foreign national
- Applicants with Japanese nationality are NOT eligible to apply.
- The undermentioned applicants also can not apply for this GIGA Scholarship:
- Permanent Resident
- Special Permanent Resident
- Spouse or Child of Japanese National
- Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident, or
- Long-Term Resident.
