The Alliance of International Science Organisations (ANSO) is a non-profit, non-governmental international organisation founded in 2018. It was founded with the help of many members including 37 scientific institutions, universities, and international organisations from all over the world. The aim of ANSO is to improve regional and global capacity in science and technology, human livelihoods and well-being, and to promote broader S&T cooperation and communication.
There are up to 40 PhD students from underdeveloped countries who will be selected by TWAS/UNESCO for these scholarships every year for the ANSO Scholarship in China for International Students for 2024-25. The ANSO Scholarship supports 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students every year for postgraduate education at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) all over the China. For PhD Program
- Tuition Fee Waiver
- Monthly stipend up to 6,000 or 7,000 CNY/Month (depending on whether the awardee has passed the qualification test arranged by the University), up to 48 months
- Health insurance

There are 20 faculties, 31 departments, graduate schools, Suzhou Institute, Shanghai Institute, Beijing Institute, Institute of Advanced Technology, and the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC. This university has more than 50,000 students and more than 25,000 students are doctoral students. UCAS ranked No. 1 in China and No. 39 worldwide QS ranking system. Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants have to fulfil the given below criteria to apply online for the ANSO Scholarship in China for International Students:
- Eligible applicants should not be a citizen of China.
- Eligible students should be proficient in English or Chinese.
- The applicants for the Master’s program should be born after 1st January 1993.
- The applicants for PhD program should be born after 1st January 1988.
- Eligible applicants should meet the admission criteria for international students of USTC/UCAS.
- Eligible students can not take other assignments during the period of his/her scholarship.
- The students are not eligible for the master’s program of this scholarship if they are currently pursuing a master’s degree at any university/institution in China.
- The students are not eligible for PhD program of this scholarship if they are currently pursuing a doctoral degree at any university/institution in China. Otherwise, He/She will be disqualified from admission and the situation will be reported to His/Her current university/institution.
