The Alliance of International Science Organisations (ANSO) is a non-profit, non-governmental international organisation founded in 2018. It was founded with the help of many members, including 37 scientific institutions, universities, and international organisations from all over the world. ANSO aims to improve regional and global capacity in science and technology, human livelihoods and well-being, and to promote broader S&T cooperation and communication.
There are up to 40 PhD students from underdeveloped countries who will be selected by TWAS/UNESCO for these scholarships every year for the ANSO Scholarship in China for International Students for 2026-27. The ANSO Scholarship supports 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students every year for postgraduate education at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) all over China. ANSO Scholarships in China for International Students is a Full Free Scholarship program for International Students from all over the world. Details of the covered expenses are given below:
For the PhD Program
- Tuition Fee Waiver
- Monthly stipend up to 6,000 or 7,000 CNY/Month (depending on whether the awardee has passed the qualification test arranged by the University), up to 48 months
- Health insurance

Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants have to fulfil the criteria given below to apply online for the ANSO Scholarships in China 2026-27 for International Students:
- Eligible applicants should not be citizens of China.
- Eligible students should be proficient in English or Chinese.
- The applicants for the Master’s program should be born after 1st January 1993.
- The applicants for the PhD program should be born after 1st January 1988.
- Eligible applicants should meet the admission criteria for international students of USTC/UCAS.
- Eligible students can not take other assignments during the period of his/her scholarship.
- The students are not eligible for the master’s program of this scholarship if they are currently pursuing a master’s degree at any university/institution in China.
- The students are not eligible for the PhD program of this scholarship if they are currently pursuing a doctoral degree at any university/institution in China. Otherwise, he/she will be disqualified from admission, and the situation will be reported to his/her current university/institution.
