International young leaders from all over the globe are invited to apply for the 6th ASEF Young Leaders Summit in Japan for 2025. This program is Fully Funded and will be held in Osaka, Japan, from 29th Sept to 5th Oct 2025. The ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS) is a platform specially designed for youth to build a connection among the young generation, feeling upset due to a lack of knowledge of each other across Asian and European countries. This Summit aims to provide a direct approach to leadership development and community engagement by creating self-leadership, team leadership and societal leadership. Students! The 6th ASEF Young Leaders Summit 2025 is a youth leadership programme that will focus on ‘Leadership in Society 5.0. The Society 5.0 concept must be known by the young generation of the 21st century. Society 5.0 is a concept introduced by the Japanese government that envisions a “super smart society” utilising advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and big data to enhance daily life and economic productivity while prioritising human well-being and sustainability. This Young Leaders Summit will help young leaders to explore what kind of leadership is required for Society 5.0 to prepare with ethical, inclusive and sustainable values.
The 6th ASEF Young Leaders Summit 2025 consists of 3 phases. The first phase is the Knowledge Building Phase, the second one is the Leadership in Action Phase, and the third one is the Youth Summit Phase. There will be no application fee to be paid by the applicants, and no IELTS is required. Interested aspirants must apply for this summit and get facilities to join different communities that come from different nations of the world. ASEF Young Leaders Summit in Japan 2025-26 is a fully funded program and will provide the undermentioned expense coverage for the selected candidates:
- Airfare Tickets from home to Osaka and return will be provided.
- Accommodation charges or free residence will be provided.
- Visa cost coverage will be provided.
- Free Meal facility will be given.
- The cost of travel to the Airports will also be there.
- A letter for Visa support will be issued on a required basis.

Phases of 6th ASEFYLS:
The ASEF Young Leaders Summit consists of three phases. Details of each phase are given below:
#1. Knowledge Building Phase | from July 29th to August 26th, 2025
This phase consists of five weeks and will bring participants together for fusing theory, training and policy by e-learning and virtual collaboration. This will brief participants about the Leadership and Society 5.0 concept through weekly online sessions. Opportunities to meet with High-Level Leaders will also be granted to Participants in this phase.
#2. Leadership in Action Phase | August 27th – September 28th, 2025
This phase of ASEFYLS6 provides support to participants to represent their leadership by practically collaborating on the best solutions for real-life challenges worldwide. Participants can work as a team to collect case studies from across Asia & Europe to solve societal challenges by using modern technology.
#3. Youth Summit (In Person) | September 29th – October 5th, 2025 | Osaka
The 3rd phase of the Youth Summit provides chances for dialogue exchanges, networking, and learning in a local context when a huge number of leaders are gathered under one roof.

Eligibility Requirements For ASEF Young Leaders Summit in Japan:

- Young leaders from Asian and European countries are eligible to apply for this summit.
- The age limit for applicants is between 18-30 years.
- Applicants from any academic background or discipline can apply.
