The eligibility criteria for Global Korea Scholarships for international students are described below:
Nationality
- All candidates and their parents must not have Korean nationality.
- Korean nationals and holders of dual citizenship (one who has Korean citizenship and another nation’s citizenship) are NOT eligible to apply.
Criteria For Age:
- For Graduate Degrees, you must be under 40 years of age by 1 September 2023, (born after September 1, 1980)
- Qualified for application are those academic professors who are under 45 years of age as of 1 September 2023 (born after 1 September 1977) and hold the citizenship of one of the beneficiaries of the Official Development Assistance (ODA).
- For Undergraduate Degrees, you must be under 25 years of age by 1 September 2023, (born after September 1, 1999)

Requirements For Degree:
- In order to be accepted in a Master’s Program, students must hold or be expected to hold a Bachelor’s Degree OR hold a Master’s Degree to be enrolled in a PhD Program for Degrees.
Candidates For the Research Program:
- You must have a degree or level of education equal to or greater than a Master’s degree. You must have received an invitation from one of the NIIED’s Korea’s designated universities.
